A number of coins dropping on to concrete made by overlaying a single coin drop and offsetting multiple times. Made using two coin loops in logic x but creating a number of tracks, offsetting the loops at 'random' to create the sound of multiple coins. Also truncated some loops for variation.

A very peaceful, melancholy soundscape i recorded on labor day weekend in some woods, about 20 feet from a popular lake in the midwest. There was a small cove in between my setup and several campers across the way. . . They undoubtedly were enjoying one last time with nature starting to change from summer to autumn. The main sound is that of insects, not sure what the species is, but, they have a beautiful, drowsy "tick-tick-tick" sound that repeats. . . To me, this sound signals the very subtle, almost imperceptible march towards the autumn equinox. I swear, the longer you listen to this captivating insect, you're drawn into, almost like a hypnosis state of reflection. . . A couple things to listen for:(1) around 1:13 a very low splash. (2) at 1:38 a lone goose honks. (3) starting at 2:30 some very low volume, muted camper conversations. (4) at 2:36 a louder splash. (5) 2:41 more beautiful, un-hurried muted camper conversations. No doubt talking about how they need to break camp and return to the real world, but the "tick-tick-tick" of the insects have a strong hold on them. No, stay a little while longer; have another cup of coffee, talk about your accomplishments over the past summer,. This was recorded around 10am on sunday morning, september 6th, 2020 in illinois. I recorded this sloppy drum beat with a single mic in one room and the drum set in the other.

Great single-speed diesel engine sound, loopable for any length background you need. This one happens to be at about 1200 rpm for a four-cylinder ford tractor engine. That said, i am living dangerously today because it's a field recording and i'm not saying where it was. Not because i can't, but because i frequently use the wrong door when entering or leaving the supermarket and i usually completely ignore the painted traffic directives in the parking lot. I'm proud of that.

I was recording outside my bedroom window while eating dinner in the living room, then i came back in here to see if i got anything interesting. I was zooming through the recording at 5x speed when i came across this bit of incidental pareidolia. I'm not sure what was going on, maybe the neighbors' stereo, but i don't remember hearing it, it's much louder in the living room so i should have. Whatever it was came out as a little distant choppy 2-notes alternating melody when played at 5x speed, which suddenly gets louder and solid as you hear the lower note followed by a third lower note. These 2 louder notes sound to me like someone singing the words all day. This would lead me to believe the original tones have some light harmonics i don't hear at normal speed. After which it goes back to the softer stuttering 2-note alternating thing from before. It doesn't sound like much at all at normal speed. So i just did a few straight pitch changes with goldwave until i got to 5x and saved this little file. See if it sounds like "all day" to you.

Recorded with my epi sg through the walrus slo pedal on dream setting into the focusrite 2i2 interface and into reaper. The bass was recorded with a squier mini-bass through a behringer bxl1800 amp and into reaper. Did a pitch change on the guitar and no quantizing as i like the 'push/pull' feel of the human tempo. May add some percussion down the line. A shout out to kenny gioia for the reaper tutorials. He's the man. Please comment on what you may use it for. Thank. :-).
